Peter Hansen, M.D.

Dr. Peter Hansen is a Denver Native and is board certified in Family Medicine. He graduated cum laude from Amherst College in Massachusetts and attended the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center for medical school and residency. Before spending the past two years providing care in the underserved area of Idaho Springs, he practiced solo in Denver and Englewood for 26 years. Dr. Hansen has recently returned to the city to provide patient-centered care with Rocky Mountain Primary Care. Dr. Hansen practices with the utmost care to be cost-effective, evidence-based and current with scientific proof. He enjoys the breadth that family medicine provides, from infant care to geriatrics, and is especially experienced in mental health. In his off time, Dr. Hansen enjoys hiking and spending time with his wife and dogs.
